A more efficient approach for job creation in the European Union


The EU leaders keep telling us that the worst of the crisis is over, but unemployment is still severe and persistent, not just in the periphery of the euro area. According to Eurostat, the unemployment rate in the EU reached a record high of 10.7% in November 2012 while the youth unemployment rate reached 25 % across the EU. Increasingly EU citizens perceive the euro currency as a synonym to crisis. Obviously the first thing to address is the lack of trust that the economy will recover, but this will not be enough.
